The Francis Xavier Catholic Church Centennial Cookbook is a 190 pages hardcover spiral bind book. This book is a collection of not only the best recipes that the congregation of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church had to offer, but other little vignettes of past memories. The recipes were important for this project, but the stores and memories of the past church and family gatherings were priceless. These stories from former students (who are now 60 plus years old now) about the cafeteria food at SFX being the best in all of Baton Rouge (LA). A bit of Louisiana cooking is included, as well as photographs of our beautifully renovated church (the artwork, elegant sculptures, and statues, and the artifacts throughout the church) that made SFX what it is today. Our oldest contributor and former head cook at SFX, Mrs. Ceola Honore’ Marcelle, generously gave all of her treasured recipes.
